Review of the relief items distribution for the Ukraine and impacted countries crises emergency response in Moldova

Since February 2022, the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) launched an Emergency Appeal for Ukraine and impacted countries aiming to support Red Cross National Societies (NS) in assisting the conflict-affected populations. The Emergency Appeal (EA) was launched on the 28th of February 2022 and was extended to last until the 31st of December 2025. The Country Cluster Delegation, commissioned a review of the relief items distribution implemented through the winterization assistance, as part of the Ukraine and impacted countries crises emergency response in Moldova conducted in March 2023. This review focused only on the in-kind assistance. The overall objective of the review was to understand the successes and challenges faced by MRCS and the IFRC Moldova when designing and implementing the relief items distributions, to identify best practices, lessons learned, and recommendations that could be used to improve future interventions. To achieve this overall objective, Key Aid Consulting conducted several Key Informant Interview, Focus group Discussion and a workshop.
