Multi country Real Time Review of UNWomen humanitarian action

Evaluation

Un Women comissioned Key Aid Consulting to conduct a mid-term review of its CERF global grand project in six countries: Bangladesh, Myanmar, Comombia, Ethiopia, Cameroon and Palestine. The aim of the project was to provide survivors of gender-based violence (GBV) and those at risk of GBV with multi-sectoral services and livelihoods opportunities and to facilitate their voices and participation. As part of localisation efforts, 30 percent of the funding was allocated directly to local Women Led Organisations (WLOs) and Women Rights Organisations (WROs).

The mid-term review highlighted progress towards achieving targets and outputs, factors influencing success, areas for improvement and lessons learned to better support the delivery of the project for the remaining months of implementation and facilitate internal learning and sharing of experiences across the six countries. KAC employed a qualitative approach relying on a variety of primary and secondary data sources and data collection methods. This included conducting 53 semi-structured key informant interviews with key stakeholders (UN Women staff, UNFPA, OCHA, implementing partners in the six countries), 23 focus group discussions with project participants and WLO/WROs in Palestine, Colombia and Bangladesh, and the review of 86 documents.
