Key Aid Consulting designed a training for American Red Cross staff and volunteers on issues related to data sensitivity in the humanitarian sector and when cash and voucher assistance. The training covers why data collection matters in disaster response settings; how data management roles and responsibilities are shared across teams, what are the best practice in identifying data to collect and decide how to collect, store and transfer crisis-affected households’ data and how to develop safeguarding measures to protect crisis-affected households personal and non-personal data.The training uses a modular approach, where modules do not need to be taken in a row. The training is designed to be delivered remotely, using virtual classrooms as well as a combination of asynchronous lectures, autonomous group worl and indivual self-paced learning.
