CIAT – Mobilizing Private Sector Led Climate Actions in Agriculture in Niger

This case study contributed to the larger study on ASAP, a programme that aimed to increase smallholder farmers’ resilience that are part of IFAD’s portfolio through using climate and environmental financing. The study assessed the extent to which ASAP linked with and/or leveraged private sector actors to help quantify private sector funding provided through IFAD/ASAP investments. In Niger the case study focused on the Family Farming Development Programme (ProDAF), which targeted 240,000 family farms and was implemented from 2013-2018.
