Key Aid Consulting conducted the final evaluation of DEPP project titled “ALERT.” Under a seven-organisation consortium led by HelpAge, the ALERT Project aimed to design an information system (dubbed ALERT) that improves disaster preparedness.
From 2015-2018, the project designed and tested the free and easily accessible information management system in five countries. The evaluation took stock of the project over its entire lifecycle by focusing on its relevance, effectiveness, efficiency and sustainability. The evaluators implemented a mixed-method approach and collected secondary data (desk review) and primary data (KIIs and online survey). The evaluation included field visits in three countries.
