Evaluation of the French Red Cross’ project: strenghening Central African Red Cross’ capacities in fighting against sexual and gender-based violence in CAR

Key Aid Consulting conducted the final evaluation of a project implemented by the Central African Red Cross, in partnership with the French Red Cross, aiming at reinforcing the CAR Red Cross in its capacities to fight sexual and gender-based violence in CAR. The project consisted of sensitization of communities and leaders, as well as trainings for Red Cross local branches and volunteers on SGBV. The evaluation followed a qualitative approach, using the “most significant change” methodology to assess the changes in behaviours in the targeted communities. Data collection methods included group discussions with targeted communities, both men and women to analyse the gendered impact of the project, and Key Informant interviews with staff, community leaders and Red Cross volunteers.
