Final evaluation of the multisectoral assistance response in CAR
Evaluation
ACF received a BHA funding to provide multi-sectoral assistance to populations affected by the humanitarian emergency in the Central African Republic. This funding from August 2021 to September 2022 covered food security interventions (lean season and post-RRM) in Ouham and health-nutrition and WASH activities in Basse Kotto. Key Aid carried out a formative evaluation at the client’s request, based on the DAC criteria of relevance, effectiveness, efficiency and sustainability. The methodology was based on remote interviews and an in-country data collection phase. Thus, 16 focus groups (8 in Lower Kotto and 8 in Ouham) with beneficiaries from the different sectors and 34 semi-structured interviews were conducted in CAR. The information collected was triangulated with secondary information from 64 documents shared by ACF with the evaluation team. The actors interviewed represented a diversity of project stakeholders, including ACF staff, Central African authorities and representatives, and external actors (cluster representatives, suppliers, NGOs working in the same sectors, etc.).
