Final evaluation of the project: Vital emergency assistance to conflict-affected populations in the prefectures of Ouham and Ouham-Pendé, CAR
Evaluation
DRC was funded by USAID / OFDA to provide life-saving assistance and alleviate the suffering of displaced and conflict-affected people in displacement-affected areas of the Central African Republic. Targeting the prefectures of Ouham and Ouham-Pende, the fifth iteration of the project covers the period from September 2019 to November 2020. The multi-sectoral emergency assistance will address needs in water, hygiene and sanitation, shelter, protection, agriculture and food security and economic recovery. The main objective of this evaluation is to assess the performance of the action in terms of relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, impact, and coordination. The exercise examined DRC’s emergency interventions in Ouham and Ouham Pende between September 2019 and November 2020. It was structured around the following main themes:
– Planning (determining the extent to which the project and intervention design was relevant and appropriate to the context);
– Implementation (whether the objectives were achieved);
– Use of internal resources (how well the project resources were used).
This evaluation followed a participatory approach. It is based on primary and secondary data. The primary data collected is qualitative.
