Final External Evaluation – Support of emergency food security and livelihood of affected populations in Kamonia, Dimbelenge, Kazumba and Dibaya (Kasaï and Central Kasaï, DRC) territories

Between September 2020 and December 2021, Action Contre la Faim (ACF) and Humanité et Inclusion (HI) implemented in consortium the BHA-funded project entitled “Emergency food security response and livelihood support to affected populations in the territories of Kamonia, Dimbelenge, Kazumba and Dibaya (Kasai and Central Kasai Provinces, DRC)”. This project targeted 22,250 households with food and nutrition distribution activities (food for ACF in Kasai and unconditional cash transfers for HI in Kasai Central) and agricultural recovery activities through the distribution of inputs and training in agricultural practices implemented by ACF in Kasai.  This final external evaluation aimed to report on the project’s performance according to four criteria: relevance, effectiveness, efficiency and sustainability. The evaluation methodology was mainly qualitative and based on interviews with key informants (23 in total), focus groups with beneficiaries (189 consulted in total) and reflection workshops with the project teams.
