IRC – Evaluation of Supporting Economic Opportunities and Livelihoods Project in Jordan

Key Aid Consulting conducted the evaluation of IRC’s ‘Supporting Economic Opportunities and Livelihoods’ project, an intervention aiming at providing employment and self-employment opportunities to refugees and vulnerable Jordanians in Amman, Mafraq, Irbid and Ramtha. Started in June 2017, the programme targeted a total of 2,634 individuals, 70% being Syrians and 75% females. The evaluation looked at the appropriateness, effectiveness potential unintended effects of the programme and made various recommendations for subsequent phases of implementation, including suggestions on how to better integrate vulnerability in the targeting criteria. The evaluation used various data collection methodologies including desk review, key informant interviews and focus group discussion.
