Midterm evaluation of the vocational training program MTAM Mai Ngo Ti A Masseka
Evaluation
Key Aid Consulting has carried out an interim evaluation of the Mai Ngo Ti A Masseka project in the Central African Republic (CAR). This vocational training programme, implemented by Mercy Corps and Triangle Génération Humanitaire (TGH) over a five-year period (2020-2025), is funded by the Agence Française de Développement (AFD). The aim of the project is to improve the socio-economic opportunities of the most vulnerable young people by strengthening vocational training provision, supporting professional integration and structuring the sector in CAR. Key Aid evaluated the project according to the DAC criteria, focusing on relevance, coherence, effectiveness, efficiency and sustainability, using a mixed approach. The evaluation included 45 key informant interviews and 12 focus groups with beneficiaries. Results were triangulated with secondary quantitative and qualitative data provided by Mercy Corps and TGH. Recommendations were drawn up in conjunction with the two organisations to facilitate the implementation of the programme for the remaining two years.
