Training in evaluation of humanitarian projects
Learning Lab
Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe (DKH) commissioned Key Aid Consulting to strengthen the capacity of its staff in the qualitative evaluation of humanitarian projects. This capacity building aimed to provide the DKH regional office team in West and Central Africa with the necessary keys to conduct qualitative final evaluations of humanitarian projects, using both qualitative and quantitative data. The training offered by KAC was structured around the following three objectives: (i) to identify the capacity building needs of the DKH members involved, (ii) to formalise and implement an adapted capacity building curriculum on qualitative project evaluations and (iii) to accompany DKH members in the implementation of an evaluation, from the start-up phase to the analysis of data and the writing of the evaluation report. The training was organised in eight thematic blocks, each block comprising a theoretical and a practical session.
